Forget a trip to Long Island, NY and instead take a virtual cultural wander through the Noguchi Museum.
One of the rare positives to have come from COVID-19 is the digitisation of galleries and museums, a welcome transition which has made many culture hotspots more accessible to the masses.
Case in point is Long Island, New York’s Noguchi Museum. The establishment, founded and designed by Japanese-American sculptor Isamu Noguchi, has launched an incredible 60,000-piece artwork showcase presented in video format by Nicolas Knight.
The works are filmed in a minimalist manner highlighting the tranquil spaces in which the artforms sit. No music nor filters, the medium allows the viewer to be immersed in the moment with only the odd trickling water or rustling leaves as distraction.
