In the three years since Lorde’s second album, Melodrama, soared up the charts, the Auckland-based superstar has been quietly working away on a new, non-musical project.
An early-2019 trip to Antarctica with photographer (and INDEX contributor) Harry Were is the focus of a ready-to-preorder, 100-page(ish) photobook entitled Going South.
Not only will it provide a unique look at one of New Zealand’s most famous faces but will also help Antarctica New Zealand fund a postgraduate scholar to study the effects of climate change on the continent, with 100 per cent of the net proceeds of the book going directly to the cause.
