Video by Max Hemmings for Nowness
Witness the collaboration of a weird and wacky world and the finest of jewellery.
More often than not, commercial collaborations transpire via marketing departments seeking new ways to expand brand awareness. But the best results come from a more organic origin, from genuine relationships whereby both parties gain ‘good’ and offer a meaningful addition to the market.
The marriage of Jessica McCormack and The Haas Brothers is exactly that. A partnership that might, at first glance, seem a little unusual is unfolded via a Max Hemmings-directed video. The narrative of the pairing is told in a series of interviews, highlighting the design process and the creative’s genuine appreciation of each other’s aesthetic.
New Zealand-born, London-based Jessica McCormack is known for her heirloom fine jewellery while the LA-based Haas Brothers conjure up sculptures that blur the lines between design and art.
With a love of craft firmly at the epicentre of their mutual adoration, you can find pieces from the ‘JM x Haas Brothers’ collection online and select pieces exclusively from New Zealand’s best concept store, Simon James.
