The legendary artist-slash-musician-slash-activist has initiated a new project to help cultural venues at risk of having to shut up shop.

TEXT: ADAM BRYCE

Wolfgang Tillmans has enlisted the help of some of the world’s finest art luminaries including Andreas Gursky, Gillian Wearing, Christopher Wool, Elizabeth Peyton and New Zealand’s own Simon Denny, for a very special initiative.

From the Between Bridges’ project, entitled 2020Solidarity, over 40 poster designs have been commissioned and purchases can be made via various online outlets as noted on their website. Here, you’ll be directed to the purchase destination and gather information on the venue or organisation which will be aided by your donation.

Another ‘win-win’ initiative in the face of adversity.
