A vintage ‘DAX’ Chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller straddles a vintage ‘Monopod’ Chair designed by Jasper Morrison for Vitra, both from Mr Bigglesworthy mrbigglesworthy.co.nz. A ‘Strainer’ by Boje Estermann for Normann Copenhagen has a sprig of wattle plopped into one of its holes backhousenz.com.

English designer Tom Dixon designs a ‘Brew’ Biscuit Tin and, as a matching mate, a ‘Brew’ Coffee Caddy, ecc.co.nz. Sandwiched between them is a ‘Dombo’ Cup designed by Richard Hutten for Gispen. It’s a joyful vessel with big ears as handles gispen.com.

Ghastly Studios employs the art of scagliola to create a bespoke candelabra babelogue.shop. Part-piece of furniture, part-piece of art, Arno Declercq’s ‘Four Legs’ Stool/Side Table is a monolithic masterpiece made from yakisugi-treated iroko wood simonjames.co.nz.

Designed by Professor Czesław Knothe for Vzόr, the polyester-glass laminate composition and fully-closed organic form made the ‘RM58’ Chair an innovative stand-out karakter.co.nz. Tucked under its front leg are two hooks from Tom Dixon’s ‘Swirl’ Collection ecc.co.nz.

A Tom Dixon ‘Swirl’ Hook (ecc.co.nz) rests upon a four-stack of his ‘Brew’ Espresso Cups simonjames.co.nz. All atop a ‘Tibu’ Stool by Anderssen & Voll for Magis ecc.co.nz. A vintage German unglazed porcelain vase by Thomas balances precariously on the footrest karakter.co.nz.

A vintage ‘Mezzachimera’ Table Lamp designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide (babelogue.shop) sits on a ‘Grid55’ chair designed by Professor Roman Modzelewski for Vzόr. A prototype was made in 1955 and it went into production in 2018 karakter.co.nz.

This design is one of a rare pair of ‘Pelicano’ chairs designed by Luigi Saccardo for Arrmet. They were designed c.1970 and provide elegant ornithological vibes babelogue.shop).
