Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness
Ana, tell us — the best TV show/s you’ve recently binged.
Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness. The subtitle says it all but, basically, Joe Exotic is exactly what the world needs to be watching right now. I’ve also been re-watching Seinfeld which to me feels like the TV equivalent of a hug.
What film would you highly recommend to watch?
I recently re-watched Enter the Void by Gaspar Noe. The psychedelic Tokyo-based visuals are beautiful and do the job of transporting you to a world free from Covid-19 thoughts.
What book has helped you get to sleep during the quiet nights of late?
I have been keeping it light with my reading lately. I recently finished Calypso by David Sedaris and am now reading one of his older titles, Me Talk Pretty One Day.
Name your go-to comfort dish to ease the worst feelings of existential despair.
Fresh pasta and anchovies. This recipe has been my go-to and takes approximately three minutes to throw together (even though I guess we have all the time in the world at the moment).
We all need new procrastination tools in these uncertain times, what exhilarating hobby have you recently added to your resume?
Does stress-cleaning count as a hobby? I also recently bought a 1,000-piece puzzle, so things are about to get very exciting at my house.
Increased mindfulness is essential in this climate — give us your top tips for getting out of your head.
It sounds really simple but go for a walk and, if you’re lucky enough to have a pet, lots of snuggles with your animal really helps.
Give a piece of advice to those trying to work from home.
Create a routine for your day. I’ve never enjoyed working from home as I love the idea of getting dressed and changing my surrounding by going to my office to start my work. If I’m working from home, I try to put on a fun outfit, make myself a pour-over coffee and set myself up in the nicest part of our house to get started. I am definitely not a work-from-bed kind of girl.
