This coming February, schedule your head back into The Cloud for the return of an unmissable event.

Following the transition of this year’s Auckland Art Fair from physical to virtual, things have been re-jigged behind the scenes. Now on offer are two fairs — a physical five-day experience based at The Cloud in February 2021 and a digital iteration later in the year.

In a seasonally fitting move, the February fair is now your summer culture fix, which will come as a much-need respite from Prada Cup yacht-watching for many. With 40 galleries and more than 150 artists in the mix, the very best of New Zealand art will be on show, along with a curated selection of pieces from Australia and the Cook Islands.

It’ll be an inclusive affair with an assortment of other enticing options also at the ready. Artist talks, an outdoor sculpture space, a bookshop, and café and bar delights will all be geared up as highly engaging spaces for one and all.

Much of the art is purpose-created for the fair with the cost of some priced at less than a few hundred dollars. Stay tuned for a next-month gallery line-up announcement and more exciting news.
