Close to the hearts of the Deadly Ponies team is the LGBTQIA+ community and, in a perfect pairing, they’ve teamed up with RainbowYOUTH for a very special project.

Pride is capsule collection of one-off recycled leather handbags (the Mini Leopard to be exact), which have been remastered in a kaleidoscopic mix of invigorating tones.

How to get your hands on one of the seven limited-edition pieces? Jump online at 10am NZDT (or 4pm Eastern Standard Time) for your chance. 100 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to RainbowYOUTH NZ, who offer a safe space and provide a critical resource for youth struggling with their identity.

Each silent auction commences on Wednesday 17 February and closes Saturday 20 February in Deadly Ponies’ Britomart, Ponsonby, Newmarket and Wellington stores and online.

“RainbowYouth is a critical resource for young people struggling with their identity. Almost one-third of
people in New Zealand have a personal experience of mental illness, and members of the LGBTQIA+
rainbow community are almost twice as likely to suffer. Liam and I feel that we can use our business to
highlight these issues, and can use our own experiences to enlighten, support, and hopefully inspire our
young people”.”
