Raf Simons, the fashion designer behind his eponymous label, digs into the archives.
Fifteen years ago, keystone fashion designer Raf Simons published a book. Entitled Redux, the tome was released on the 10th anniversary of the label’s launch to laudable applause. Still in great demand from Simons fans and collectors alike, highly sought-after editions are rare and often fetch a hefty price.
The tome chronicles the first 10 years of Simons’ collections, which are now even more revered than his hard-to-get-your-hands-on book. Garments which are now an esteemed part of fashion culture.
Now, in their 25th year, Raf Simons have dipped into the catalogue and are re-releasing 100 pieces from the archives. The collection, also named Redux, allows a new generation the chance to own an iconic item without the exorbitant collectors price. For now.
We’re privy to two pieces that will feature (thanks to Simons’ longtime collaborators, photographer Willy Vanderperre and stylist Olivier Rizzo) but, you’ll have to wait with bated breath until December for the complete garment line-up announcement. Set the alarm.
